Lessons have been assigned to them based on their diagnostic test results both in Math and Reading. Within each lesson are brain break games. The district is pushing a goal of 45 minutes per week on Online Lessons in ELA and 45 minutes per week in Math to close the gaps found in the diagnostic. Math and ELA are providing some of that time during the week, but not all.
HOUR OF CODE!
WHAT ARE WE LEARNING: Hour of Code! The Hour of Code is a global movement introducing tens of millions of students worldwide to computer science, inspiring kids to learn more, breaking stereotypes, and leaving them feeling empowered.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT: Computer Science helps nurture problem-solving skills, logic, and creativity. By starting early, students will have a foundation for success in any 21st-century career path.
HOW WILL MY TEACHER KNOW WHAT I LEARNED: You will participate in the online coding assigned!
Once you have completed the Hour of Code assignment, please keep the certificate on your screen for verification!
Once verified, you may have free time (gaming online, NO one person shooters like Shell Shockers, grown up approved!)...or finish any outstanding assignments!
