1. Log in to typing.com
2. Click Lessons
3. On Intermediate Tab, Click Intermediate: Shift Key & Capitalization (this is due FRIDAY, February 11): 10 Pts.
4. Begin Typing (Please DO NOT GO PAST THIS LESSON! It will RESET if you do!)
NOTE!!! No late TYPING will be accepted!!!!
If you are finished or waiting, work on Clever!
Students click on the Clever icon on the desktop
Sign in using the username & password (same as logging into computer)
Click on the square that says iReady
Continue until time is up!
Lessons have been assigned to them based on their diagnostic test results both in Math and Reading. Within each lesson are brain break games. The district is pushing a goal of 45 minutes per week on Online Lessons in ELA and 45 minutes per week in Math to close the gaps found in the diagnostic. Math and ELA are providing some of that time during the week, but not all.

What you NEED to know!!!!
WHAT ARE WE LEARNING: TinkerCAD, an easy-to-use 3D CAD design tool...LESSONS!
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT: Gives the user the ability to take something that's 3D and represent it in 2D. It is essential to all industries that use 3D modeling like architects, engineers and game designers! Lessons help you learn important skills in just a few steps - so you can master 3D design in no time.
HOW WILL MY TEACHER KNOW WHAT I LEARNED: You will complete lessons on TinkerCAD and upload files you have completed through TEAMS!
Log in to our class on TinkerCad!
Your username has been made for you!
Click PERIOD BUTTON (below) to log in to YOUR class period to TinkerCAD
Select Join with NICKNAME
Your "Nickname" is your FIRST NAME and LAST NAME and YOUR PERIOD NUMBER
EXAMPLE:
Your "nickname" has been created for you!
WORKPLANE DIE
Today we will create this from scratch!
CLICK CREATE NEW DESIGN
On the top left corner, click the name to change it to Die 1
TIP! (before you begin!)
Change your Snap Grid to 0.25 mm
FIND A DIE!
Click the pull down menu on the BASIC SHAPES menu on the right
Select Fun & Games
Scroll down
You might need to click MORE SHAPES!
Then, click MORE SHAPES
Find the PRINTABLE DIE (DICE)
Put a PRINTABLE DIE on the workplane!
ADDING NUMBERS!
Click the pull down menu on the BASIC SHAPES menu on the right
Select Design Starters
Click on the "A" (Letters & Numbers) in the header
Put the number 6 on the workplane!
Number Height
Change the Height of the 6 to 1 mm (click the top white handle and enter 1)
Put 6 on TOP of the Die
Click and pull the black cone up...enter 15 mm in the box to bring the 6 up on the workplane!
Move the 6 to the top of the die
Next Number!
Add a 5 to the workplane
Change the Height of the 6 to 1 mm (click the top white handle and enter 1)
Rotate!
Rotate your workplane to see the correct rotate arrow
Rotate the "5" 90°
Click D on Workplane to bring up on workplane
Pull it up on the workplane!
Click and pull the black cone up...enter 2 mm in the box to bring the 5 up on the workplane!
Move the 5 to the side of the die
Final...
Draw and imaginary box around the entire die including the numbers
Group the die
Make the die LIGHT GRAY!
BEFORE YOU DOWNLOAD...
Group the shapes
Make the entire DIE LIGHT GRAY!
IT MUST BE LIGHT GRAY TO GET CREDIT!!!
ALSO FILE MUST BE NAMED DIE 1!
REMEMBER to add your NAME to the workplane!
Drag the TEXT shape onto your workplane
Use the Text Dialog box to enter your first name!
GETTING CREDIT!
ONCE COMPLETED!
Click the HOME BUTTON to view your entire workplane
Click SEND TO (on the TOP RIGHT!)
Click the DOWNLOAD BUTTON!
This will download your Workplane and all created upon it to your DOWNLOADS folder!
Go to our Classroom in TEAMS
Select Assignments
Select
TinkerCAD: Die 1!
Scroll down to MY WORK
Click +ATTACH
Click UPLOAD FROM THIS DEVICE
Select DOWNLOADS (on the left)
Find the downloaded file and select it (it should be called Die 1.png)
Click OPEN
Wait for file to upload!
File will show up below under My Work
CLICK TURN IN!
NOTE: There MUST be a file (download of project) attached to get credit. Simply clicking TURN IN will not do!!!
