Expectations:

C: Voice Level 2 (only the people next to you can hear you and no shouting across the room)

H: Ask your team, elbow partner or raise hand

A: Work on the assignment

M: Stay in your assigned seat

P: Work till assignment is completed

S: Finishing your work

Typing.com ASSIGNMENT!

Beginner: T, S and L Keys :: Due Friday, October 1 :: 10 Points

Typing:

1. Log in to typing.com

2. Click Lessons

3. On Beginner Tab, Click Beginner: T, S and L Keys (this is due Friday, October 1): 10 Pts.

4. Begin Typing (Please DO NOT GO PAST THIS LESSON! It will RESET if you do!)

NOTE!!! No late TYPING will be accepted!!!!

If you are finished or waiting, work on Clever!

  1. Students click on the Clever icon on the desktop

  2. Sign in using the username & password (same as logging into computer)

  3. Click on the square that says iReady

  4. Continue until time is up!

Lessons have been assigned to them based on their diagnostic test results both in Math and Reading. Within each lesson are brain break games. The district is pushing a goal of 45 minutes per week on Online Lessons in ELA and 45 minutes per week in Math to close the gaps found in the diagnostic. Math and ELA are providing some of that time during the week, but not all.

ASSIGNMENT! Part 2!

Photos about your classes!

  • Today we will be finding photos for EACH OF OUR CLASSES!

  • Each student has 7 classes! (and MTSS 8th period!)...so at least 8 photos!!!!!

  • Find and Save at least 3 (three) Photos per class period...

    • English

    • Science

    • History

    • Math

    • PE

    • Elective 1

    • Elective 2

    • MTSS

INSTRUCTIONS!

Create a folder on your desktop....

  • Right Click on your DESKTOP

  • Select NEW> Folder

  • Rename this folder: Photos For PowerPoint

NOW...Let's find some photos or graphics!

  • Open a Browser (Chrome or Edge)

  • In Google, search for what image you would like...

    • for example, for Tech class you might want to search for a computer or keyboard

  • Remember to be SPECIFIC!

Chrome Browser

  • Click on IMAGES

  • Once you have found the image you want, Click on the image

  • It should show a larger version to the right!


Click on thumbnail image...larger version on the right!

  • RIGHT CLICK the photo that popped up on the right!


Right Click with your mouse

  • Select SAVE IMAGE AS

  • A box will pop up...


Select SAVE IMAGE AS

  • Double click to open DESKTOP (on the left)

  • Then double click to open the folder we created (Photos for PowerPoint)

  • TIP! you might want to rename the photo (filename on the bottom)

  • Click SAVE


  • NOW DO THIS FOR ALL 7 CLASSES (Periods 1-7)

COPYING TO ONEDRIVE!

Open www.office.com

Click on OneDrive

OneDrive Icon

Select your Intro to Tech folder (we created this a few weeks ago!)

Simply DRAG the folder from your desktop to the Intro To Tech folder on your OneDrive

It should take a few minutes to upload!

CRITERIA FOR PHOTOS!

  • THREE (3) Photo for EACH class period

  • All photos MUST be different

  • App photos MUST be relevant to the class

  • You may use more than one photo per class

  • Renaming the photo helps!

  • Look for JPG, GIF, PNG or tiff files
